This artwork represents the sun spirit. The story belongs to her of creating the ocean and all the rivers by melting the ice with her warmth. It was the work of the sun spirit to rise each day and give new life using her light and energy. She is our mother in the sky, our most powerful healer, she is the sun. With every sunrise she gives us new hope and an opportunity to shine bright.

Daisy Hill is a proud Muruwari woman and Aboriginal Artist living and creating on Kombumerri Country (Gold Coast), where the land, sea and sky constantly inspire her. Daisy’s paintings are more than artworks, they are spiritual expressions of connection, identity and love. Through her work, she honours her culture, journey, and the stories that shape who she is. Daisy’s art celebrates family, identity, and Country ~ while gently holding space for others to find meaning in their own stories.
